St. Luke’s Paintbrush: a feast day food

I really enjoyed digging back into liturgical living last week! It was a great week to do so with the feast of St. Teresa of Avila, St. Margaret Mary, and St. Luke.

I’m excited to share our feast of St. Luke treat. These St. Luke paintbrushes are so cute and easy to do (you may have everything on hand already!).

Plus there is a free printable label if you want to share some of your paintbrushes with others. But I won’t judge if you want them for yourself!

St. Luke’s Paintbrushes

  • Popsicle sticks
  • 1 Recipe Marshmallow Rice Krispie bars
  • Confectioners sugar
  • Food coloring

Make Rice Krispie bars according to recipe and allow to set in pan. Cut into rectangles (approx. 2.5 x 4 inches). Stick Popsicle stick in one short end. Mix together a paste of confectioners sugar, water, and food coloring (this should be thin enough to drip, but thick enough to stick). “Dip” each end in the colored frosting. Add “drips” by dropping frosting with a spoon. Allow to dry completely.

Label with printable labels and share your treat! (Or not!)
