May Feast Table: Celebrating the Month of Mary

May has arrived, and so has spring!  I am so looking forward to this month and all it has to offer liturgically.  Here are some plans for the May feast table as well as other ideas for around your Catholic home.  It’s all things Mary this month!

If you are new here, you can see why I started this feast table thing and what ours has looked like to date.

Our family’s plans for May

We will FINALLY be starting our very own Mary garden.  This has been in my mind for the last few years, and I. WILL. MAKE. IT. HAPPEN.  I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect statue of the Madonna.

Right now, I’m deciding between this 14 inch less expensive ($28) statue:

and this larger (34 inch) and more expensive ($56) option:

I’m inclined to purchase the cheaper one, but I know Mary will be hidden by foliage much of the summer if she is only 14 inches.  I know Aunt Leila would encourage me not to be stingy when it comes to purchasing religious decor.

Once we get Mary in place, we’ll be doing a little crowning ceremony!

Simple ways to live the liturgical year and month of Mary in the Catholic home. Complete with booklist and links to other great posts!
